Watch how an app enhances UK consumer energy efficiency
S. Himmelstein | July 15, 2021A new digital energy service that will support households, electric vehicle (EV) drivers and energy consumers in the U.K. has been launched by BP in partnership with renewable energy supplier Pure Planet.
Using the new app and platform, Pure Planet members will be able to link their home energy tariff and their EV, giving real-time cost per mile data, cost per charge and carbon dioxide emission savings compared with a petrol or diesel car. Non-EV drivers will be able to see potential savings from switching to an electric vehicle.

The digital service will help users understand and access personalized insights into energy consumption, cost and carbon emissions associated with their home and related to mobility. EV drivers will gain insights into the total cost of charging, home and away, along with remaining battery charge and miles remaining.
