Val-Matic Swing-Flex® & Surgebuster® Check Valves

Val-Matic has introduced two new check valves, the Swing-Flex® and the Surgebuster®. Both valves are designed for years of maintenance-free service and feature a short, 35° stroke to minimize slam-related surges by closing quickly. Both valves are NSF/ANSI 372 Certified Lead-Free, NSF/ANSI 61 Certified for Drinking Water and are designed and built in accordance with AWWA C508.

The Swing-Flex® has only one moving part for a clog-free. The ductile iron check valve has cold working pressures up 250 psi, making it ideal where surges may be an issue or for systems where traditional 125 lb. valves are unsuitable. The Swing-Flex® valve complies with ANSI/AWWA C508 design and has been verified through an independent 1,000,000 cycle test. The Swing-Flex® makes an excellent choice for sludge and slurries.

The Surgebuster® Check Valve incorporates all the design features of the Swing-Flex® and also includes the Disc Accelerator™ for slam protection in extreme applications. The stainless steel Disc Accelerator™ is a mechanism completely contained within the valve that allows the disc to be stable under flow condition, but closes the valve disc rapidly to avoid slamming by flow reversal. The Surgebuster® is an excellent choice for applications such as high head, multiple pump and surge tank installations.
