New gear-type metering pump delivers precision paint dosing
GlobalSpec News Desk | October 30, 2026Dürr launched an optimized gear metering pump designed for use with common 1K and 2K coating materials in industrial coating processes. The new pump focused on durability, ease of use and cost efficiency.
The EcoPump GW iD series was designed for industrial coating applications requiring precise volumetric delivery of consistent coating quantities. With flow rates ranging from 90 to 900 ml/min, the pump accommodated a range of applications. It was also compatible with Dürr’s ready2integrate concept, which coordinated the control system, metering technology and applicator as a preconfigured solution. The approach enabled faster installation, improved process reliability and application-specific configurations.

All models featured a standard amorphous diamond-like carbon (ADLC) coating to improve durability and help maintain surface quality over extended operation.
For additional operational reliability, the EcoPump GW iD was available with an optional bypass valve. In addition to providing pressure relief, the valve automatically opened during overpressure conditions to protect downstream application equipment from operating errors and process disruptions. Flushable models also featured a patented shaft bearing designed to extend pump service life, reduce maintenance and repair costs, and improve operational reliability.
The EcoPump GW iD was part of the Fluid Board2, which combined components for high-precision paint metering in a compact package for efficient integration into painting processes. The pump could also be retrofitted onto the Fluid Board1 for existing applications. In addition, it was compatible with existing systems and could be installed as a standalone component for future upgrades.
