Circor International recently announced the launch of its new CIR 3100 control valve series. The new valves feature an economical valve body with multiple internal options for many applications across a wide range of industries.

The CIR 3100 is suitable for throttling and on-off control of fluids such as gas, steam, water or chemical compounds to compensate for the load disturbance and to keep the regulated process variable as close as possible to the desired set point.

In addition, CIR 3100 control valves are specially designed for both low and high pressure drop service. Pressure drop, high velocities and throttling occur only at the cage window and the plug, therefore protecting the valve seat ring and delivering tight shut-off capability. A Class V leakage option is also available for high temperature applications.

The CIR 3100 control valves are available with MZ plug, multi-staged micro flow trims which are specifically designed for precise control of low-flows and high pressure drop situations. The Zick twist trim designs feature multi-path pressure reduction technology to control the potentially damaging effects of high velocity fluids.

Thanks to a common valve body design, the CIR 3100 is easily customizable with a range of internal options and standardized parts and accessories. When process conditions and requirements change, trims are easily interchangeable, therefore reducing inventory and maintenance costs. The CIR 3100 is offered with a pneumatic actuator as standard but is also available with a wide range of actuator options such electric, hydraulic, electro-hydraulic and standalone manual actuators.

The CIR 3100 control valve series is designed for general, critical and severe service applications in industries including upstream, midstream and downstream oil and gas, power generation, processing industries, maritime and renewables.
