Saveco adds new vertical chopper pump to its CHIOR range
Diana Aoun | August 24, 2021Saveco, (a WAMGROUP brand), recently launched the VPH — a vertical chopper pump from its CHIOR pump range. The CHIOR range of high-performance pumps is specially designed to handle livestock slurry and biogas digestate and offer an innovative, low-obstruction shredding system for the liquid flow at the pump inlet. The new VPH pump comes with an external motor drive and is designed to chop up and lift a wide range of livestock slurries, biogas digestates, as well as civil or industrial effluents.
The pump’s electric motor drive rotates the suction screw via the drive shaft and the chopping system (available in built-in cast-iron or stainless-steel) enables shredding of coarse matter. The shredded material is then conveyed out of the tank or pit through a stainless-steel delivery pipe. The MX-version offers a practical and effective mixing system that enables the conveying of material into the tank through a special mixing nozzle.

The VPH delivers high pumping and chopping efficiency thanks to its top suction system and double (or triple) chopping unit, which consists of a screw and pump chamber, helping to further prevent clogging. The IE3 premium efficiency motor (with IP55 protection) offers high-efficiencies and low energy consumption. The modular drive shaft delivers higher resistance to mechanical stress and the torsional elastic coupling between motor and transmission shaft, effectively minimize vibration.
The CHIOR VPH pump system facilitates quick and easy maintenance due to its simple design and accessible parts. The system is available in different lengths as well as vertically and horizontally adjustable mixing nozzles (by means of manual chain drive). In addition, the VPH can be used with fluctuating pH values thanks to optional stainless-steel pump housing, further diversifying its application in harsh operating environments.
The VPH is capable of delivering a maximum flow rate of 250 m3/h and a maximum head of 24 m (34 psi) and is suitable for tanks/pits with a maximum depth of 5.5 m.
