Automated warehouse solutions firm Dorabot has developed a robot cell capable of sorting 1,000 items an hour.

The DoraSorter, which sorts items weighing up to 20 lb to more than 100 different destinations, features a FANUC M-710iC 50H robotic arm equipped with 3D vision, a high-speed barcode reader and advanced real-time motion planning.

According to its developers, the DoraSorter can be easily fitted to existing sorting stations.
