Longhorn Reels, a Texas-based custom metal fabrication company, has introduced the Stow & Go Spool Transport System, a material-handling solution designed to move reels and spools across jobsites, warehouses and manufacturing facilities. The system expands the company’s equipment portfolio for the wire, cable and industrial sectors.

The Stow & Go was developed to address the challenges of relocating heavy reels within facilities or between jobsites. Integrated forklift pockets allow crews to load and unload materials without manual lifting, helping streamline material handling in active work environments.

The base LHR570 model has a rated capacity of 5,000 pounds and can accommodate parallel reels and single-section reels in various dimensions. Custom reel sizes are also available for operations with specialized requirements.

Constructed from durable materials, the wire spool cart is designed to withstand repeated use in demanding environments. Its compact footprint also allows for efficient storage when not in transit. The system can be used for wire handling, cable management and other material-handling applications.

The Stow & Go is part of Longhorn Reels' broader expansion into custom rack fabrication for emerging markets, including AI data centers and semiconductor manufacturing facilities. The company produces custom rack systems using precision laser-cut components and certified welding, along with compartment reels and stands, wire, cable and hose reel systems, and PVC storage racks.

These capabilities are intended to support infrastructure projects that require application-specific storage and material-handling equipment. Longhorn Reels applies the same fabrication and engineering standards across both standard and customized equipment, allowing the company to develop solutions based on individual project requirements.

Longhorn Reels manufactures its products in the United States at facilities in Texas. Its product portfolio also includes light fixture carts, PVC storage racks, job boxes, wire pull boxes, coiler and take-up systems, turntables, roller platforms, mobile reel systems and rack systems. The company also provides custom manufacturing for applications that fall outside its standard configurations.

A division of GO Industries, Longhorn Reels has more than 46 years of manufacturing experience in the wire and cable handling industry. The company employs approximately 70 people across two Texas plants and uses modern fabrication equipment to support manufacturing consistency. Its engineering team also provides design services for material storage and handling applications, with products manufactured in the United States and designed for long-term service.
