Shopping with Amazon's New Augmented Reality FeatureMarie Donlon | November 03, 2017
Joining a growing number of retailers adding augmented reality (AR) features to their apps and websites, Amazon announced this week the launch of its new AR feature called AR View, which is available in the Amazon app for iOS devices.
AR View offers shoppers a chance to visualize a product in their home using their smartphone camera. Choosing from thousands of possible products such as furniture, décor, electronics, and games and toys, shoppers can see how the product will fit in the space or décor of their home before they purchase it.
Tapping on the camera icon in the Amazon app and selecting AR View from the menu will reveal a category page with all of the items available for viewing.
Additionally, AR View lets shoppers examine products in full 360-degree views.
