Knight Optical has launched a range of stock optical domes for the protective housing of CCTV camera systems. The domes are essentially optical windows that have two parallel curved faces with high clarity and transmission in the visible and NIR areas of the spectrum. The domes are high quality with polished faces and are readily mountable.

The domes are readily mountable, optically clear, and manufactured to a high standard. They are available from 5mm to 200mm in diameter and 0.25 mm to 10mm in thickness and can be constructed from fused silica as well as BK7, PMMA acrylic, quartz, sapphire, germanium, and silicon. Knight Optical domes are commonly used in defense applications, which is why they have high durability and resistance to extreme environments.
