Robot manufacturer Skyline Robotics has raised $6.5 million to fund its automated window washing robot Ozmo.

Dubbed the world’s first high-rise window washing robot by the company, Ozmo can autonomously wash windows in dangerous high-rise environments using a combination of computer vision, lidar sensors, machine learning and artificial intelligence (AI) technologies.

According to Skyline Robotics, Ozmo, using its pair of Kuka industrial robotic arms, cleans windows three times faster than human window washers, without risking the lives of human workers.

Ozmo is set to soon begin washing high-rise windows in New York City.
