Austria-based robotics firm Baubot has developed an autonomous robot of the same name that is capable of completing tasks on construction sites.

The Baubot, which comes in a 40-in arm version and an 82-in arm version, can swap out the digits at the end of each arm to accomplish a host of construction site tasks including cutting drilling, milling, sanding, screwing, material handling, 3D printing, painting, marking and brick laying among other activities.

Additionally, the Baubot features an integrated camera to enable construction site monitoring.

Although the Baubot is designed as a complement to human workers on construction sites, Baubot aims to eventually automate tasks on the construction site that are particularly dangerous for humans to perform.
