A proprietary fuel-cell technology offers a reliable, clean and cost-effective alternative to traditional power sources. The system is geared toward microgrids and designed to operate either as an island or as a grid-connected system that supports the distributed energy model.
Bloom Energy developed the Bloom Energy Server based on their patented solid oxide fuel cell technology. The highly efficient fuel cell is a combustion-free power source that consumes less fuel and produces less carbon dioxide than competing technologies.
Several Fortune 500 companies including Apple, Google, Walmart, AT&T, eBay and Staples are deploying their system for on-site power generation. The clean energy source allows these facilities to curb energy costs with a clean energy source that is highly customizable.
Several models are available with outputs up to 300 kW. They offer a customizable system geared toward microgrid development and unlike other green technologies, such as solar energy and wind turbines, power is always on, offering clean energy 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
