Specialist Safety Systems was founded with a goal of increasing productivity and worker safety in the crane and lifting industry. Its flagship product, Rig-Ware, provides key features including a tracking system, asset protection, DROPS register and calculator, defects lists, control management and rental protection. By increasing the level of insight and information available to crane operators, the tool not only tracks daily tasks but provides for a safer and more efficient working environment.

Lifting failures and incidental dropped objects are the most common cause for lost-time injuries within the offshore oil and gas industry. Rig-Ware is an innovative solution that gained Specialist Safety Systems acceptance to The Oil & Gas Technology Centre TechX Pioneer program. It is now one of three finalists to receive additional funding, business development training and mentorship over a 12-month timeframe.
