A 4 MW+ unit is being developed to augment the 3 MW+ class of Exceed wind turbine gearboxes offered by Moventas of Finland. A 4 MW+ high torque platform has completed long-term overload testing.

The gearboxes will be installed in wind turbines for additional validation measurement under actual operating conditions.

The Exceed series is designed to lower the cost of energy in wind power generation through deployment of small size, light weight, and high torque density gearboxes to yet another power range of wind turbines.
