Add GlobalSpec and E360 to your 'preferred sources' in Google
GlobalSpec News Desk | September 08, 2025For our loyal readers, there is a new Google feature that enables you to set GlobalSpec as a “preferred source” for your technical and engineering news and updates.
This feature is currently available to U.S. and India-based GlobalSpec users only. Completing this action makes it more likely GlobalSpec sources appear at the top of your search results and other Google information aggregation tools.
In short, you’ll start to see more of our content prominently displayed, when we have something fresh and relevant to your search. Other sources will still appear alongside, and users can also select many different preferred sources.
Here’s how to set GlobalSpec and Electronics360 as a preferred source
Step 1: On your Google search engine results page, click on the star folder next to the header that reads “Top Stories.”
Step 2: Search and select your preferred sources.
Step 3: Refresh your results and see more from your favorite sites.
Once you select GlobalSpec and Electronics360, they will appear more frequently in Top Stories or in a dedicated "from your sources" section.
More information about the new preferred sources feature from Google can be found in their dedicated help center.
