Source: GoogleTired of wasting time in airports waiting on flights that never seem to be on time? A new feature from Google Flights may be able to predict flight delays with some accuracy.

Flight predictions are based on historical flight status data fed to Google’s machine learning algorithms, and the company believes that those predictions are 80 percent accurate.

The flight delay predictions from Google Flights accompany other features of the app, including listing confirmed delays and, in some cases, the reasons for the delay.

To see if a flight has been delayed, search Google for the airline and flight number or flight route, and you'll get the information in the results.
