Covvi launches its ‘futuristic’ robotic hand
Marie Donlon | January 21, 2025Covvi, a prosthetics development company, has developed a multi-articulated robotic hand that is capable of performing assorted tasks in the manufacturing and industrial spaces.
The so-called Covvi Hand can reportedly mimic intricate grips made by the human hand and can be used by people with limb loss and limb differences as well as used in material handling applications.

“Using a multi-articulated hand not only improves and upgrades existing robotic set ups, but also means that fewer people will be subject to dangerous or hazardous situations. With the launch of Covvi Robotics, we know that we can transform industrial and learning settings around the world,” the company explained.
According to its developers, the movement of the robotic hand can be controlled by operators in many different ways, enabling the hand to perform precise tasks across assorted settings.
Further, the Covvi Robotic Hand can be manned through teleoperation, enabling it to be operated at a distance, which means that when the hand is fitted to robots in remote or dangerous environments, it can be safely operated by a controller located in a separate room.
Additionally, the hand can also be incorporated into robotic arm systems, and it is accredited with both ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 standards.
