McWane Plant and Industrial (MPI) has launched its new High-Performance Butterfly Valve. This latest addition to MPI’s extensive valve lineup was designed to deliver exceptional performance, superior sealing capabilities and long life in extreme operating environments.

Suitable for a diverse range of high-temperature and high-pressure industrial applications, including chemical processing, oil and gas, and many others, this new Class 150 butterfly valve offers full-rated, bi-directional, dead-end service, and is available in sizes from 2 inches to 36 inches.

Engineered for strength and durability, this new High-Performance Butterfly Valve features a single-piece WCB or CF8M body with integral disc position stop, plus a double-offset disc for reduced seat and disc wear, extended seat life and lower maintenance costs. Additional features include:

  • Single-piece, blowout-proof retention stem, per API 609
  • Free-floating, pressure-assisted, solid seat
  • Multi-layered, V-type PTFE packing
  • Self-lubricating 316 SS-backed RTFE bearings
  • Bonnet with ISO 5211 mounting pad

The MPI High-Performance Butterfly Valve is also designed for faster and easier installation. The recessed gland and integral ISO 5211 mounting pad enable the actuator to be mounted directly to the valve body. Plus, the valve’s extended neck offers 2-inch clearance from bonnet to flange, allowing for piping insulation on all valve sizes.

Like all MPI valves, this High-Performance Butterfly Valve has been rigorously tested to meet industry performance requirements, is constructed of high-grade materials and is engineered to provide years of trouble-free performance.
