The Whipsaw team reportedly made the robotic arms appear approachable and non-intimidating by using sensors within light rings to reduce the anxiety users might experience during the body scan process.
Aescape uses artificial intelligence (AI) to personalize each massage while suspended sensors create a 3D scan of the user’s body.
Users of Aescape, according to its developers, will change into Aerware, which is custom-designed apparel that ensures the depth sensors accurately capture the user’s body.
As the customer is positioned on the massage table, they will interact with a touchscreen display to choose from 20 different massage programs. Aescape will then perform an infrared scan of the body to map the body’s contours and identify key areas for the massage, thereby producing more than one million 3D data points.
