A developer of vision-based autonomous mobile robots (AMRs) for warehouses, ForwardX Robotics has announced an addition to its Flex product series.

The Flex 60-SW is an AMR that is reportedly equipped with automatic weighing scales and an interactive touch screen to improve picking accuracy in the warehouse.

According to its developers, the Flex 60-SW avoids potential picking and weighing errors that can occur when performed manually. This is thanks to its ability to leverage real-time weight measurements, which enables the system to accurately identify and pick the correct items, thereby improving efficiency and reducing mistakes.

With a maximum payload capacity of 60 kg, the Flex 60-SW is outfitted with multi-sensor fusion technology, simultaneous localization and mapping (SLAM) navigation, 180° obstacle detection and avoidance, and computer vision.

The Flex 60-SW has been designed for retail distribution and eCommerce fulfillment centers.
