Flexiv debuts "world’s first" force-controlled parallel robot

Flexiv’s Moonlight adaptive parallel robot has been designed for applications that demand precise motion and force control including tasks such as screw fastening, loading and polishing.

According to its developers, Moonlight precisely measures force down to 0.1 N, making it possible for the system to handle even delicate objects. As such, the Moonlight adaptive parallel robot can polish and sand uneven surfaces while ensuring high-quality and thereby eliminating workpiece damage.
The Moonlight adaptive parallel robot is expected to be available in the third quarter of 2023.
