New sorting robot to make its warehouse debut

The SortIE sorter robot is a fully autonomous robotic sorting system designed for order fulfillment.

According to its developers, the SortIE performs stock-keeping unit (SKU)-based, or scannable bar code, intelligent sortation at high speeds and heights. This easy and rapid picking system can reportedly accomplish 450 sorts per hour without human intervention at 3 m per second.
The SortIE can be added to existing conveying systems and is designed for third party logistics or ecommerce applications.
