In one of the more recent innovations from ARI Armaturen’s diverse range of valves is the ZETRIX triple offset process valve, which offers a smorgasbord of options for almost any application. The intelligently designed valve body offers a commandingly tight closing with a durable construction that will withstand the harshest operating environments.

Triple offset means that three parts of the valve are offset from the line of symmetry or center: (1) the rotating disc shaft, (2) the pivot point and (3) the seat’s axis of rotation. This results in frictionless swivel movement, superior tightness due to the self-aligning (floating) metal seal, and maximum performance for a large range of temperatures and media.

A unique feature of the ZETRIX is the stellited seat that comes standard with all models. The valve seat is specially coated in stellite no.21 (cobalt-chromium alloy coating) for heightened durability and maintenance free service life. The valve comes in double flanged or fully lugged models and, more recently, Armaturen has released the butt weld model. The manual (worm gear) option is available in all models along with the option of an electric, pneumatic or hydraulic actuator.

The ZETRIX is suitable for gases, liquids and vapors and the extended bonnet allows insulation thicknesses suitable for temperatures from -60° C to 400° C (-76° F to 752° F). Numerous options are available for all models and Armaturen offers additional customizations upon request. The fully lugged and butt weld models are available in DN 80-600 (3 in to 24 in) and the double flanged option is available in DN 80-1200 (3 in to 48 in).

During the design stage, specialized flow simulations were carried out in order to visualize flow velocity, flow direction and pressure distribution. This helped to optimize the ZETRIX geometry, thus minimizing turbulence and pressure loss across the valve. Other highly specialized and rigorous tests have resulted in a valve that is intelligently designed for optimal flow performance and maximum durability with safety certifications for some of the most challenging operating enviornments.
