The Sulzer Academy for pumps and systems is conducting a four-day seminar, Pump Maintenance and Operation, from November 17 to 20 in Bruchsal and Mannheim in Germany.

The seminar is designed to offer participants in-depth knowledge of centrifugal pumps including information about their design characteristics and fault diagnostics.

Targeted at centrifugal pump specialists, the seminar includes both theoretical and practical sessions, designed to improve participant understanding of the principles and the function of centrifugal pumps, mechanical seals and other related components.

The theoretical sessions offer information about centrifugal pumps, their operation and maintenance, typical causes of faults and ways to avoid them, as well as knowledge about selection and installation of mechanical seals and how to make changes to an existing pump design.

The practical exercises with pumps and mechanical seals enable attendees to supplement their theoretical knowledge with hands-on exercises including pump strip-down and assembly.
