The 21D/DC RFID series pressure sensors from Bestech Australia reportedly provide highly accurate, hysteresis-free pressure measurements with outstanding long-term stability.
The ultra-compact sensors come standard in a stainless steel housing with a Hastelloy C-276 housing available by request. The housing is also laser welded and hermetically sealed.
The pressure sensor is oil-filled to help maintain pressure transmission. The piezoresistive transmitters are then coupled with energy-efficient compensation electronics, an antenna and an I2C interface that collectively provides for wireless RFID connectivity. The unit is also available with an integrated battery and storage, allowing the unit to function as a data logger as well as a wireless transmitter.
The connected sensors receive excitation from the scanner and are able to log values instantaneously. They are resistant to environmental impact and provide digital traceable readings addressing long-term monitoring requirements in demanding applications including use in 360 ton mining trucks that run seven days a week.
