Source: UltimakerSource: UltimakerA powerful, reliable and versatile desktop 3D printer has been redesigned to accommodate larger parts. The device is easy to set up, which maximizes productivity, while key features include active bed leveling, a filament flow sensor, enhanced feeder and a wide selection of build and support materials to enhance its ability to print accurate, industrial-grade parts.

The Ultimaker S5 was designed with a larger build volume and streamlined to facilitate setup and programming. It features a unique print core that allows the user to swap printing nozzles in a matter of seconds, a 4.7-inch touchscreen display and the ability to print over Wi-Fi, Ethernet or from a USB stick, while a built-in camera allows users to remotely monitor print progress.

Engineers can choose between 0.8 mm, 0.4 mm or 0.25 mm print cores to accommodate a print speed and level of detail that is needed for the part design, backed by the ability to print large, technical parts with a build volume that measures 330 mm x 240 mm x 300 mm.

A wide selection of water-soluble polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) support materials and engineering filaments are available, including Ultimaker PLA (polylactic acid), which is one of the most widely used 3D printing materials in the industry. It offers detailed surface quality with reliable performance.

Also offered is the Ultimaker Cura 3D printing software with plug-ins available for SolidWorks, Siemens NX and AutoDesk. The seamless integration of this desktop printer, software and build materials allows engineers to design, prepare and print complex parts with ease.
