New Compact Gas Turbine Actuators and Digital Controllers Released

08 August 2018

Source: DiakontSource: DiakontDiakont announced a new line of gas turbine actuators and digital controllers for increased performance. Diakont’s linear and rotary servo actuators are the most compact actuators of comparable performance in the turbine control industry.

With forces up to 220 kN, Diakont released several gas turbine actuators made for applications like inlet guide vane (IGV) control, nozzle guide vane (NGV) control and fuel valve control. Diakont’s gas turbine actuators boast an operating lifetime of 20 years or more. This best-in-class lifetime is due to optimized roller screw thread design, tight machining accuracy and specialized hardening processes. Featuring an integrated permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) paired with a precisely machined roller screw, Diakont electric actuators are also remarkably lightweight and compact.
