Wison Offshore & Marine of China has delivered the world's first barge-based floating LNG storage and re-Source: Wisongasification unit (FSRU) to Belgium-based Exmar. The FSRU barge has a re-gasification capacity of 600MMSCFD and a storage capacity of 26,000 m³ of LNG.

The structure serves as a flexible solution designed to reduce both capex and lead time for projects. It is expected to add value in medium-sized LNG import projects worldwide in a fast track, flexible and cost-efficient way. Exmar has secured a charter for the unit from mid-2018 onward.
