Source: Hayward Flow ControlHayward Flow Control's premier electric actuator product line, designed to fit applications ranging from basic control to fully optioned solutions, now includes three-phase power and torque switch options. Hayward expanded their HRS Series electric actuator product line by introducing several levels of three-phase actuators. Their quarter-turn actuators now accommodate three-phase applications requiring 800 to 177,000 inch-pounds of torque.
The integration of torque switches helps protect the electrical drive units in the event that any foreign objects interfere with movement. The switches are optional for their 800 to 20,000 inch-pound units, while they come standard in capacities greater than 30,000 inch-pounds.
Additional features include:
- Optional phase protection and phase correction
- Optional local control stations
- Supply voltages of 230/3 or 480/3, with 380/3 and 440/3 options
Typical applications include wastewater and water treatment, chemical transfer and processing, aquatic and animal life support systems, mining and mineral processing, HVAC, pulp and paper, food and beverage, marine, and other demanding environments.
