Hydromat Joins Forces with Motch & Eichele to Create Hydromat-RE Inc.
Ken Thayer | June 07, 2017Hydromat Inc. and The Motch and Eichele Company have teamed together to create a new company named Hydromat-RE, Inc. The new company's focus will be the refurbishing and upgrading of Legacy style Hydromat rotary transfer machines. Hydromat and Motch and Eichele will each contribute R&D efforts, as well as intellectual property, engineering and additional resources to the new company.
First imported to the United States in the 1970s, Legacy style machines were originally hydraulically controlled. As most of the Legacy style machines are still in operation, some nearing 40 years old, many of them are in need of refurbishment or re-tooling. Hydromat-RE will provide everything necessary, including used or reconditioned parts and full turnkey rebuilds. Hydromat-RE staff will also be brokering used machine sales.
Bruno Schmitter, President & CEO of Hydromat Inc., says, “We believe that Hydromat-RE has the potential to bring a new spirit to the Legacy machine business. This team has all the experience and knowledge to make a positive impact within the marketplace.”
Willie Eichele, who has over 30 years of experience in the rotary transfer industry, has been appointed President of Hydromat-RE. "I'm very excited about the possibilities that we can realize through our new Legacy rotary transfer company," said Eichele. “We aim to develop novel approaches and technologies at our one-stop shop to help improve the solutions our customers require.”
Hydromat-RE would like to leverage the new partnership between Hydromat and Motch & Eichele to develop new technologies to boost the capabilities of Legacy machines for existing users. One key upgrade will be the addition of CNC technology, using Hydromat's EPIC RS and EPIC SS packages.
Hydromat-RE’s headquarters will be in Cuyahoga Falls, OH, home of the Motch & Eichele Company.
