Spanish company Wavegarden is expected to announce the launch of "The Cove," a new artificial wave pool technology. The surf pool company's man-made wave system reportedly will be capable of pumping 1,029 waves per hour, more than 16 waves per minute.

"The Cove" is expected to make its debut in a triple surf pool project set for the Australian cities of Sydney, Melbourne, and Perth under the insignia Urbnsurf.

The plan involves getting Australia's Olympic surfing team training at "The Cove" before making their debut in Tokyo 2020. The new surf pool concept by Wavegarden will feature a baseball-diamond-shaped lagoon.
