Versa C5 NAMUR valves ensure secure, reliable actuator isolation
GlobalSpec News Desk | November 05, 2026Versa Products Company Inc. has introduced the C5 NAMUR Lockout Valve, a compact, direct-mounted solution designed to provide positive actuator isolation during maintenance and shutdown procedures.
The valve mounts directly to pneumatic actuators and can be mechanically locked in either the energized or de-energized position. Its direct NAMUR mounting design simplifies installation and reduces setup time by eliminating the need for additional components.

The valve's NAMUR interface uses standardized mounting holes and connections to attach directly to an actuator without requiring extra tubing, brackets or fittings.
The C5 also incorporates Versa’s bubble-tight sealing technology to prevent leakage during operation, an important consideration for pneumatic systems that commonly operate at high pressures. Although the valve provides mechanical actuator lockout, it is not an Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA)-approved block-and-bleed lockout valve. Manufacturers should account for this distinction when establishing maintenance and shutdown procedures.
Additional features of the C5 NAMUR Lockout Valve include:
- Field conversion between three-way and four-way operation
- Compatibility with air, inert gas and natural gas applications
- Operating pressure range of 15 to 150 psi (1.03 to 10.3 bar)
- General-purpose and hazardous-location solenoid options
- Lightweight anodized aluminum construction with FKM seals
The C5 NAMUR Lockout Valve is designed to isolate pneumatic actuators across a range of industrial sectors and automation applications, including oil and gas, chemical processing, power generation, and water and wastewater treatment.
