HYTING and Kampmann to advance hydrogen heating solutions
S. Himmelstein | April 04, 2025Hydrogen technology developer HYTING and HVAC specialist Kampmann are collaborating on the development of hydrogen-fueled heating solutions for industrial, commercial and logistics buildings. Kampmann will integrate HYTING’s hydrogen heating technology into its existing air heating systems and oversee the manufacturing process at their facilities.
The units developed through this partnership are designed to be energy-efficient and modular, providing a customizable solution that meets the specific needs of various customers. The systems offer significant cost savings, reducing capital expenditures by up to 75% and delivering substantial energy savings. They can

The initial product scope advanced by HYTING includes a rooftop unit (HYTING AirSYS RTU), an HVAC module (HYTING AirSYS Cube) and a combination of the Cube and an AHU (HYTING AirSYS Combi). The AirSYS RTU system is a hydrogen-fueled recirculating rooftop unit designed for highly efficient, carbon dioxide (CO2)-free heating. As a standalone unit, it is easy to install and requires minimal coordination with other trades. The AirSYS Cube can be seamlessly retrofitted into existing ventilation systems, providing 100% CO2-free heat without costly infrastructure changes, minimizing capital expenditure and avoiding operational downtime.
HYTING’s heating technology is distinguished by its use of a unique catalytic process that combines hydrogen with oxygen from the air to generate heat, with water as the only by-product. This process, currently patent-pending, produces no harmful emissions or particulates and operates safely without using flammable concentrations of hydrogen.
