Bystronic introduces its new laser tube cutting system
GlobalSpec News Desk | November 13, 2024Laser cutting machinery manufacturer Bystronic has introduced its ByTube Star 130 laser tube cutting system, which is designed to handle tubes with diameters from 10 mm to 130 mm up to 8.5 m long.
With a loading capacity of up to 17 kg/m, the automated ByTube Star 130 system reduces manual intervention to simplify tube processing.
Featuring a 2D cutting head, the fiber laser unit is available in 2 kW, 3 kW or 4 kW. Automatic weld seam detection keeps the weld seam oriented to the desired position. Meanwhile, optional lasers can independently detect and compensate for geometric deviations of tubes to help ensure accuracy regardless of raw material quality. Further, the Quick Cut option delivers greater speed with an additional linear axis.
The BySoft Cell Control Tube user interface puts control of all functions related to laser tube cutting on a touchscreen so that operators do not need extensive experience to start production.
