Migatron, a manufacturer of sensor technology, has unveiled its latest ultrasonic sensor, the RPS-429AA-40P-IS2, which has been designed to be intrinsically safe and appropriate for use in explosive atmospheres and hazardous locations.

The new sensor offers accuracy and reliability in distance measure and object detection, the company explained.

It has been tested and certified to meet global standards, for intrinsic safety in explosive atmospheres/hazardous locations (ATEX, IECEx and C-UL-US).

Built with an IP66/IP67 rated enclosure, Migatron engineered its sensor for industrial applications. The sensor also offers a user-friendly interface, featuring a 4-20mA two-wire current loop design.

Further, Migatron’s sensor technology provides ultrasonic level measurement, ultrasonic proximity detection and ultrasonic ranging measurement to assorted industries, including oil and gas, chemical processing and mining.
