The Cat S60, a smartphone manufactured by Caterpillar, includes an integrated thermal imager and is intended for the construction and utility trades.

The smartphone offers the capability to measure surface temperatures from a distance of 50-100 feet and is able to “see” through obscurants, such as smoke, to support uses by building professionals, utility workers and emergency first responders.

The unit is shock resistant for falls up to 1.8 meters, and meets MIL Spec 810G. The unit also is rated for submersion in up to 5 meters of water for one hour. The touchscreen can be controlled with wet fingers or while wearing gloves.
