Wind turbine assembly and maintenance are set to be simplified with a new battery-powered torque wrench from industrial tools developer Enerpac. The BTW-series battery torque wrench enables operators to quickly move between bolting jobs while assuring torquing precision.

Instead of requiring multiple operators in addition to air or electric-powered hydraulic pumps, hoses and torque wrenches, the BTW-series requires just a single operator. These torque wrenches achieve a +/- 5% accuracy across their entire operational range and are equipped with anti-slip pistol grips and triggers for sturdy control and operator comfort. A low maintenance brushless motor runs cooler and maximizes productivity, and smooth and consistent torque is provided by a patented planetary gear with optimum tooth design.

The BTW-series is powered by two Enerpac 18 V 5.5 Ah lithium-ion batteries and a 60-minute fast-charger, enabling high-efficiency brushless motor bolting applications, even in remote or hard-to-reach areas.
