Edwards Vacuum, a manufacturer of vacuum products, abatement solutions and related value-added services, has unveiled a mono-claw vacuum pump.

According to its developers, the mono-claw vacuum pump, dubbed the nEDC300, enhances performance, minimizes noise levels, improves reliability and facilitates on-site maintenance.

The pump is appropriate for assorted applications, such as water and wastewater treatment, thermoforming, vacuum conveying, food processing and medical systems.

With its stainless steel rotors and durable stator coating for safeguarding its process wetted parts, thereby ensuring robustness in effective contaminant handling, the new mono-claw vacuum pump also features a separate, insulated pump element that allows easy access for users to conduct maintenance, repairs and cleaning.

In addition to providing increased pumping speed, the silencer has also been redesigned to ensure lower noise levels while maintaining optimal vacuum performance.

Further, the new silencer also enhances airflow, thus reducing the internal pump temperature. This reportedly extends the service life of the lip seal and prevents oil leaks.
