Vacuum pump specialist Edwards has revealed its new nXRi dry pump range — the next generation of vacuum pumps optimized to low power for lower energy costs and reduced heat load. The nXRi range features five different models with pumping speeds that are unrivalled by other dry vacuum pumps on the market. Combined with lower input power and zero maintenance requirements, the nXRi delivers advanced performance and lower operating costs across a range of applications.

The nXRi features a compact footprint that is 40% smaller compared to alternative dry pumps and is designed to fit in the most restricted spaces, seamlessly integrating with analytical instruments and other vacuum systems. Weighing less than 30 kg, and with wheels for added maneuverability, the nXRi also offers high-level mobility for changing workflows and environments.

The new Edwards nXRi guarantees clean processes and clean results with a completely oil-free and dust-free vacuum chamber. Equipped with a single-phase pump controller that covers a wide voltage range, the nXRI delivers consistent high performance, no matter the location.

Edwards has further enhanced the pump design with a user-friendly and convenient dashboard for local adjustment or remotely via parallel or serial control. The pump comes with an integrated USB port that allows monitoring via Edwards’ nST2 software and an additional accessory port that allows automatic control of valves where required.

The Edwards nXRi dry pump delivers a stable vacuum environment, easily integrating into most vacuum systems. It is effective across a wide range of applications and is particularly suited for mass spectrometry, electron microscopy and leak detection as well as other applications including plasma cleaning and cryo pump regeneration.
