Autosampler benefits bioreactor research
S. Himmelstein | August 22, 2023Bioprocess researchers must be aware of the status of bioreactor parameters in order to optimize yield and quality of the desired end product and ensure its formation in a time and cost-saving manner. Analyzing relevant parameters like the cells’ status, product concentration and medium composition usually requires taking a sample from the bioreactor. A new Bioprocess Autosampler from life science technology developer Eppendorf facilitates sampling 24/7 in short and regular intervals so as to secure complete datasets.
By taking samples from multiple bioreactors and storing them tempered for later analysis, the autosampler not only frees up researchers to continue their work but reduces the risk for human error. Mounted on the lab bench, the system ensures aseptic operation without the use of a laminar flow cabinet. The equipment is compatible with glass and single-use bioreactors with working volumes of 60 ml to 1.8 l and adapts to changing requirements regarding working volume and bioreactor type.
