Additive manufacturing (AM) firm Eplus3D, headquartered in China, has expanded its range of metal AM machines with the launch of the EP-M400, available in single, dual or quad-laser configurations. The company suggests that its new PBF-LB machine is designed to enable higher productivity, increase cost-effectiveness and offer faster industrial production.

The EP-M400 has a standard build chamber of 405 mm x 405 mm x 450 mm and can support a wide range of materials, including nickel-base alloys, tool steels, die steels, aluminum alloys, titanium alloys, copper alloys and more.

Based on EP-M650 and EP-M1250 multi-laser series, the EP-M400 is an open system, allowing users to customize and adjust parameters and develop a custom application parameter package.

This machine’s launch is part of Eplus3D’s plans to further expand the application of multi-laser metal AM in multiple industries. The EP-M400 is said to be tailored to customers expecting to expand their business into large metal AM part runs, or who are just beginning their entry into metal AM.
