Germany-based technology company GEMU has developed its first 3/2-way diaphragm globe valve for ultra-pure applications — the new GEMU C58 iComLine. The valve features a supply and two possible outlets. It can also be operated in the opposite flow direction and the switch position can be detected via an optical position indicator.

All media wetted parts of the new GEMU C58 iComLine 3/2-way process valve are made of pure and highly resistant PTFE, which is suitable for ultra-pure and corrosive media. In addition, the external actuator parts are made of PVDF, which maximizes service life.

Thanks to an excellent footprint versus flow rate ratio, this diaphragm globe valve is ideal for applications in media supply or in the process area of semiconductor production. This includes changeover between process and return flow for media that are to remain in motion (e.g., slurry or gas-emitting media); changeover between two pipelines (e.g., in redundant system elements); or supply of one pipeline from two different pipes (e.g., process and cleaning medium).

Additional design features of the GEMU C58 iComLine 3/2-way valve include a high flow rate (Kv value), a space-saving footprint, and an innovative double PD design, which minimizes dead space. The COM can be used as an inlet or outlet and is compatible with all common tube connections. In addition, the valve can be integrated with various high purity PFA fittings from GEMU, enabling flexibility for designing manifolds.
