Of all the ways to assemble workpieces and substrates, adhesives might be the most scientifically advanced.

Fasteners essentially clamp joints together. Welding and soldering adds heat and material until the items are fused. And the realm of adhesives takes advanced chemistry and application study, to determine which solution provides the right bonding properties, in the optimal delivery system, for the right interval.

Transparent tape and superglue might seem common, but they share the same heritage as the two-sided tapes that hold windows in place in high rise buildings, or the interface materials that serve U.S. Air Force jets aircraft with electrical conductivity, EMI mitigation and lighting strikes.

Across the entire spectrum of adhesives, the ability to stick together cannot be overrated.
