Add Energy, a firm striving to improve the performance and integrity of the energy sector, has announced a new on-demand training academy for those in the energy, utility, oil and gas, manufacturing, marine and mining, and renewable sectors, among others.

The Add Energy Academy offers attendees a catalog of interactive sessions, workshops, meetings, simulations and e-learning courses — like Relief Well Planning and NORSOK D-010 Well Integrity Standard Training, dealing with topics such as well integrity and blowout contingency.

The courses are reportedly designed to address existing skill gaps while also serving to upskill workers with less experience in energy sector professions. Likewise, the academy aims to help those in the energy sector to transfer their skills to new energies such as geothermal and carbon capture, utilization and storage.

Chief technical officer Terje Løkke-Sørensen explained: “Training has been at the heart of what we offer our clients for a number of years. The Add Energy Academy is an exciting next step as we continue to evolve our offering to suit industry demands.

“Many of our course leaders have over 30 years of experience, working in some of the most hostile and challenging environments. To be able to pass on this type of knowledge is a huge asset of the Academy,” he added.
