First type 2 push-in surge protection
Engineering360 News Desk | July 08, 2021The VAL-MS PT surge protective device from Phoenix Contact is the first type 2 protective device with push-in connection technology in the world.
It is available for the globally widespread voltage level of 230 V/400 V, and is well-suited for protecting power

Users save time and money during the installation, as the conventionally recommended nominal torque test is not necessary, and with two terminal points per position, the feed-in lines can be through-wired. Additional installation material is therefore no longer necessary. Both flexible and rigid conductors are available with a maximum cross-section of 10 mm².
Voltage tests can be performed directly on each position via the test points provided for this purpose. Along with the optional remote indication contact, which can also be through-wired, the VAL MS PT features an optical status indicator integrated into the plug that displays the operational readiness of the product.
