Argonaut Manufacturing Services is addressing the increased need for custom controls, standard and verification panels with the launch of a new service at its newly commissioned, state-of-the-art standalone facility located in Carlsbad, California.

Argonaut is known for contract manufacturing in life science, diagnostic and biopharma markets. The new site is expected to alleviate common concerns over manufacturing challenges associated with positive controls and nuclei acid templates. Innovators regularly use controls and standards to verify instruments, Argonautreagents and diagnostic tests in order to ensure that standard operating procedures (SOPs) for patient samples are followed properly.

Organizations that focus on diagnostics for the regulated markets and research-use-only assays now have access to a complete solution for Argonaut products and also other controls that meet Argonaut’s quality standards through the Custom Molecular Controls and Standards service.

Solutions provided by Argonaut Custom Molecular Controls and Standards include synthetic PCR controls, antibodies, buffers and markers. Additionally, controls and standards can be lyophilized to both extend shelf-life and improve protocols, which Argonaut CEO Wayne Woodard called, “a much needed compelling alternative.”
