Tech company develops social distancing tool for manufacturing, warehouse spaces
Marie Donlon | September 24, 2020An Italian-based microphone and dongle manufacturer has developed a social distancing tool designed to get those working in warehouses and manufacturing spaces back to work sooner following COVID-19-related closures.
IK Multimedia has designed the Safe Spacer, which is a device that can be worn like a watch, lanyard or attached to an employee’s belt loop that notifies the wearer when he or she comes within 6 ft — the universally recommended safe social distance aimed at reducing the spread of the coronavirus — of a coworker.

Using ultra-wideband technology, the devices need to be worn by no less than 25 team members to work effectively — the size of which might be found working in a shipment warehouse or a processing plant.
The Safe Spacer is not the only social distancing solution designed to return employees back to their workplaces following the coronavirus-related closures. A host of other social distancing tools have emerged since the early days of the virus.

Sounds interesting! Thanks for sharing. Social distancing tools will be notable than ever before as it facilitates both employers and staff to return to work with trust in their safety. No doubt, it can be a good investment for warehouses and manufacturing centers around the world.
interesting enough. I can see a comedy routine develop around this device where the one employee starts bouncing off another much like the pin ball in the arcade game. This then explodes into a chain reaction where everyone moves to avoid everyone else then lands in someone else's comfort zone. causing them to move and random chaos develops. now who could pull this off.
Other than that could become a way to do traceability
