The EPU features a decentralized drive system and is offered with either constant or dual displacement pumps.
The recent introduction of a 140 cc EPU further expands the product line, which encompasses a size range of 19 cc to 250 cc. These modular components feature a compact design and a unique interface that permits mounting directly on the cylinder.
Moog’s EPU is a self-contained alternative to traditional hydraulic actuators and users benefit from both electro-mechanical and electro-hydraulic technologies. The EPU unit delivers the efficiency and precision of a servomotor with the capacity of a hydraulic cylinder. Moog’s engineering staff is available to aid in the selection of a correctly sized EPU. They also can integrate it with a servo drive, manifold and hydraulic cylinder providing a complete modular actuation system that addresses unique application requirements and space restrictions.
