Source: ControlAir Inc.The Type 7000 high flow capacity air pressure regulator from ControlAir Inc. is a precision instrument that is suitable for applications where repeatability and accuracy are paramount, including high-flow pneumatic control systems, with air flow rates up to 250 standard cubic feet per minute (SCFM).
According to ControlAir, the rugged device is available with a range of port sizes up to 0.75 in NPT, and with a flow coefficient up to 5.0 Cv. The regulator provides precise pressure adjustments with low droop.
The device features an isolated control chamber and an integral aspirator tube to maintain output pressure under variable flow conditions. A balanced supply valve reduces supply pressure variations, which ControlAir claims are virtually eliminated.
The Type 7000 precision air pressure regulator is supplied with a diecast aluminum alloy housing, zinc plated steel bolts, nitrile seals and internal components manufactured from stainless steel, plated steel, brass and aluminum. It also features two 0.25 in NPT gauge ports and is available with several options, including a tapped exhaust, a stainless steel control knob stem, a low bleed option, a non-relief option, a tamper-proof cover and an option for ATEX 94/9/EC approval.
Additional applications for the high-flow capacity precision air pressure regulator include test, measurement and calibration equipment, pneumatic counterbalancers, web tensioning, tool balancers, articulating arms and medical equipment.
