Addressing component quality and process integrity while adhering to the shortest cycle times possible, EMAG's VLC 200 GT can perform a diverse set of machining technologies in a single setup.

The VLC 200 GT produces components by using a hard pre-turning process refined through subsequent grinding operations. The inclusion of a hard pre-turning process reduces grinding wheel wear, improves cycle time and is capable of hard machining components up to 200 mm in diameter.

The VLC 200 GT performs a variety of process combinations, including grinding, scroll-free turning and hard turning. A spacious machining chamber supports numerous part fixturing configurations to suit a diverse set of applications.

The machine achieves impressive surface quality down to a 10-point mean roughness (Rz) less than 1.2 µm. It can be set up with internal and external grinding spindles, scroll-free turning tools, block tool holders or a 12-station turret. This allows users to implement an optimal process combination for each application and every workpiece.
